It's simply because this bunch of ones and zeros (which you refer to yourself) belongs to the same human species. What is ironic then is "YOU" , because you try to deny your human nature. We're just actually playing our own species. If you think humans desire hate, think back then, how you, at the same time, hate humans. Now, are we going to continue talking about hatred or are we convince to talk about love this time?

Ilovesmith: Is it possible that we put an end to all these cynicism. This will not get us anywhere. Smith would continue to do things which he/she thought significant/valuable to his/her kind.
